Job Summary/Overview:<\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
The Solar Technician is responsible for scheduling, performing and recording all required inspections for installed projects, per each jurisdiction. These inspections lead to successful sign -off and milestone completion, allowing an installation to become functional.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
<\/span><\/p>
Coordinate inspections with customers and jurisdictions
<\/li>Maintain an organized and efficient calendar, highlighting existing appointments, as well as availability for additional inspections
<\/li>Build a positive and lasting customer experience, discussing project timelines post inspection signoff, detailing and communicating concerns internally
<\/li>Use software systems to record, maintain and update project specific deliverables and tasks
<\/li>Complete unforeseeable minor punch list items such as painting conduit, applying NEC stickers/placards, etc.
<\/li>All team members are responsible for supporting an inclusive work environment
<\/li>100% travel is required
<\/li><\/ul>Solar Technician 's Requirements, Education, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:<\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
Previous PV design, PV installation or PV electrical experience (such as reading blueprints or plans, using tools and equipment, testing wiring or circuitry, National Electric Code knowledge, basic electrical theory knowledge, etc.) is helpful with a minimum of one year of field construction experience preferred
<\/li>Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check
<\/li>Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, including the ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely
<\/li>Must be a motivated teammate, looking to succeed and contribute to the shared goals with excellent organizational and time -management skills
<\/li>Strong communication skills in order to offer exceptional customer service and interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner

<\/li><\/ul>Solar Technician 's Physical Demands and Working Conditions<\/b>
<\/span><\/p>
Essential physical requirements, included climbing, standing, stooping, bend, squat, stretch.
<\/li>Physical effort/lifting up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds; medium - up to 50 pounds; heavy - over 50 pounds.
<\/li>Ability to work in all weather and climates
<\/li>Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics
<\/li>Must be able to work with heights; ascends/descends a ladder to rooftops.
<\/li>While working conditions can vary depending on the specific position, this job will require you to be outdoors for extended periods of time. Solar installation and maintenance can only be done when the weather is good, expect long hours during these times in order to get as much work done as possible.
<\/li>Keep in mind that you may be required to work at heights necessary to get the work done, and that you can meet the physical demand of working on a rooftop. Additionally, solar technicians will sometimes need to work in attics or crawl into tight spaces as they will need to hook up the solar panels to the electric grid.
