Are you interested in working in challenging and versatile Summer Trainee tasks in Quality, HSE, and Sustainability?
We are looking for an active student to support our Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) teams in process development, quality analysis and follow-up, and HSE development. In addition, we offer a role within our Sustainable Supply Chain function, where the focus is on supplier engagement, sustainability compliance, and climate‑related initiatives.
In the Quality field, you tasks can include participating in process development, continuous improvement, and risk management activities. Perform quality measurements in production and monitor statistical data. Collaborating with various stakeholders concerning quality improvements. Work with data analytics and visualization tools (for example Power BI) to provide insights. Assist in document management tasks, including transferring and updating documents in Valmet systems. Develop user instructions, training videos, and other communication materials.
In the HSE field, your tasks can include assisting with documentation and reporting for sustainability initiatives. Supporting teams in creating tools, communication, and training materials related to HSE topics. Contribute to developing environmental management practices and HSE culture. Contribute ideas for improving processes and share innovative solutions. Depending on your background, you may also join safety walks and other HSE-related activities. These roles offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global sustainability and HSE practices while working in an international environment.
As a Sustainable Supply Chain summer trainee you will support projects with a focus on supplier engagement and data collection related to CBAM requirements and the Climate Transition Plan. You will help update climate engagement materials, e-learning content, sustainability assessments, and audit tools while contributing to process improvements and stakeholder reporting. This role is ideal for someone interested in sustainability, supply chain compliance, climate initiatives, and data-driven analysis.

What do we expect from you?
Whether you study engineering, industrial engineering, environmental technology, sustainability, quality management, or other related fields, these positions might be suitable for you. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Finnish is considered an asset. Good knowledge of IT tools commonly used in your studies and the ability to learn new systems will help you thrive. We value a proactive attitude, flexibility, and eagerness to learn new skills.
