DescriptionAs Sustainability and Safety Analyst, you will be the right hand of the Sustainability Director and the Health and Safety Director Europe and will be in close contact with different Health & Safety professionals in EMEA. You will develop and maintain relationships with these individuals and promote and protect Carmeuse’s interests effectively. Safety is our number one priority! Sustainability is our mission to drive the business! You will need to be able to work autonomously with a high focus to deliver.
As a Sustainability & Safety Analyst EMEA, you will play a key role in driving both our environmental ambitions and our commitment to a zero‑harm culture. Your responsibilities will include:
Sustainability (80%)
- Contribute to the design and implementation of sustainability strategies, turning them into clear, actionable roadmaps.
- Serve as the internal expert for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), EPD, and PCF methodologies across Carmeuse EMEA.
- Oversee and coordinate the technical activities related to the Carbon Bank.
- Monitor external trends and developments to support strategic decision‑making.
- Lead the sustainability intelligence center, including the development of policies and procedures.
- Act as the primary contact for all matters related to the green claims procedure.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze environmental and sustainability data from operations in the field.
Safety (20%)
- Support the development and deployment of lifesaving procedures throughout the organization.
- Propose improvements to strengthen the safety policy and its enforcement framework.
- Ensure clear, customer‑oriented communication with all stakeholders, fostering a culture focused on safety and zero harm.

The recruitment process
- Screening : Geoffrey Nizet, HRBP will review your resume and cover letter and schedule a first screening.
- First interview : you will first be asked to complete two personality questionnaires. Following this, you will attend an interview with Brecht De Roo, Sustainability & HSE Director EMEA, Fabrice Foucart, Environmental Director, HSE EMEA and Geoffrey Nizet, HRBP.
