Reporting to the Director of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, the Senior EHS Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the EH&S program that provides a safe, healthy working environment for all employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee and administer the EHS Department Team.
Monitor all areas for unsafe conditions, acts and potential hazards.
Enforce environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and personnel are properly trained in its use.
Respond to accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and identify and eliminate root cause.
Conduct daily/weekly inspections of the facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA, TCEQ and other required regulations.
Assist with management of the company non-subscriber injured worker benefit program.
Regularly communicate with the Human Resources department regarding policies, Non-subscriber claims, and/or the selection of modified duty positions for employees on restrictive duty based on medical restrictions.
Ensure safety and health policies are updated as needed to ensure continuing compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
Maintain environmental documentation such as waste manifests and coordinate with regulatory authorities as needed.
Maintain safety records.
Conduct training as needed including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication (HazCom), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Respiratory Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Powered Industrial Truck, Hearing Conversation, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

5+ years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Previous responsibilities with OSHA regulations.
Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
Knowledge of Environmental laws and regulations with an emphasis on hazardous waste disposal experience.
Any EHS certification highly desirable.

Skills & Abilities:
