Job Details:
Purpose
Support University Housing and Dining’s Sustainability team by collecting, analyzing, and communicating data that highlights progress toward sustainability goals. This role helps transform complex data into compelling stories that inspire action and inform decision-making across campus.
Responsibilities
Meet weekly with the Sustainability Manager to develop and refine data analysis strategies
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to purchasing, waste diversion, and engagement
Create data visualizations and infographics to communicate key sustainability metrics
Compile and format reports for internal and external stakeholders
Source raw data sets from vendors and campus partners
Collaborate with Housing & Dining departments to track progress toward sustainability goals
Maintain accurate documentation of data sources and methodologies
Assist with digital communications and event support related to sustainability initiatives
Contribute to benchmarking and research comparing UHD’s performance with peer institutions
Competencies Gained

Required Qualifications
Must be a student currently enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin
Must be available to work for the full semester
Experience with Microsoft applications, including basic Excel functions and data collection

Compensation
$14.00 per hour
