ERM is seeking a motivated Environmental / Permitting Specialist with demonstrated experience permitting capital projects in France to join our team in Paris or Lyon. The ideal candidate will have at 1- 2 years of experience in a consulting company.
The candidate should have technical expertise in environmental permitting effort in France, providing support for the development of large-scale capital expansion projects, possessing understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in line with national and ideally international requirements of Lender institutions. Renewable energy and / or data centers permitting experience is a plus.
The consultant’s main responsibilities and tasks will be to:
- Drafting of the Environmental aspects of projects, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), Environmental Management Plans or Systems and post monitoring projects.
- Perform on site audit/assessment to support ESDD, ESIA and other impact assessment and monitoring projects.
- Conduct environmental field work and help to supervise the subcontractors to do the work compliance and safely.
- Provide support with writing project reports in accordance with the requirements of ERM’s project management system, including undertaking research and analysis.
- Elaborate the development of proposals for key clients.
- Good communication skills – including oral, written and presentation skills.
- Proficient in English. French language is a must (please do not apply if you do not have a fluent level of written and spoken French and a proficient level of English).
- Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
- Available for travel.
