Job Purpose<\/span><\/u><\/b>
<\/p>
The EHS Officer will be
responsible for the entities’ safety, development and implementation of EHS
services as a business line.<\/span>
<\/p>
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/u><\/b>.<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop
an EHS enforcement and monitoring mechanism to ensure total compliance to
regulatory and industry standards.<\/span>
<\/p>
• Carry out<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> regular periodic reviews of all EHS documentation and obtain timely approval of
the same.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Responsible
for PPE management, in collaboration with respective Project/Account Managers.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Review
the maintenance schedule of the company safety equipment including the First
Aid Box, fire extinguishers.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee
tool box meetings and give appropriate feedback to management and staff.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop
and implement a comprehensive EHS training program for head office and
projects’ staff.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Conduct
quarterly evaluation on EHS awareness and compliance.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop
EHS policies and procedures to align corporate EHS goals and strategies.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop
and maintain effective emergency response mechanisms for all project sites.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Collaborate
with the IT teams to digitise EHS related tools and mechanisms including but
not limited to Surveys, Incident/accident reports, Corrective Action tools,
Safety Manuals and Reports.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Generate
and maintain company EHS data and periodically report the statuesque.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>In
close consultation with the IT Officers, integrate EHS management with the ERP.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop
and package EHS solutions specific to various industries for marketing as an
additional service.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Build
and maintain positive relationships with regulators, partners, consultants and
clients.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Prepare
and ensure efficient implementation of EHS annual budgets.<\/span>

EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
<\/span>Qualifications: <\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum
of a Bachelors in a relevant discipline.<\/span>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Certificate
in EHS from a recognized institution. <\/span><\/b><\/span>
<\/p>
Experience:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Minimum
of three years (3) relevant experience in the HSE operations.<\/span>
<\/p>
ADDED ADVANTAGE<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
• <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Attention to
detail, analytical and problem solver.<\/span><\/span>
