Position Summary
Insert summary here: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern to support our EHS manager in maintaining compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and improving sustainability initiatives across our operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in implementing and improving EHS programs, conducting audits, and supporting training and reporting efforts.
This position reports to the EHS Manager.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Non-Exempt/Exempt, based on the Executive/Administrative/Professional/Computer Employee/Outside Sales Exemption
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Assist in the development of an EHS auditing system under the guidance of the EHS Manager.
- Support incident investigations and help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Participate in the development and delivery of EHS training materials.
- Assist in waste management, chemical inventory tracking, and environmental reporting.
- Research EHS regulations, best practices, and sustainability initiatives to support compliance and innovation.
- Support team projects related to ergonomics, air quality, energy usage, and other sustainability efforts.
- Attend and participate in EHS meetings, stand-ups, and safety committee activities.

Required
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in EHS compliance, sustainability, and workplace safety.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Interest in electronics manufacturing and EHS compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and MPCA regulations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with EHS software or systems is a plus.
- Prior coursework or lab experience in chemistry, toxicology, industrial hygiene, or safety engineering is a bonus.

Pay Range: $21-25
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
