Location: Owatonna, MN– Inmanufacturing plant 5 days per week

What you will do:
- Complete basic Industrial Hygiene monitoring including noise assessment and ergonomic force measurements
- Conduct a basic ergonomic assessment of workstations and operations
- Perform basic risk assessments (Job Safety Analysis, etc.) of manufacturing operations toidentifyhazards and implement effective controls
- Participate in EHS inspections (wastewater, stormwater, satellite storage areas, etc.) and improve protocols and checklists for process improvement
- AssistinNewHire Environmental Health and SafetyOrientation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sophomore or Juniorcurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program inOccupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or a similar degree program
- Experience in the MicrosoftOffice Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $21/hr - $24/hr. This represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
WorkEnvironment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tosit, talk, andhear. The employeeis occasionally required tostand, sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employeeis occasionally required tostand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
