Accountabilities and Duties
- Insurance Program Renewal assistance: including gathering data, preparing responses and supporting information for underwriter questions, managing certificates of insurance, reviewing invoices, policy wordings, and other documentation
- Join weekly calls with our broking team to discuss open items, ongoing projects, and action any assigned responsibilities resulting from such meetings
- Participate in local meetings with underwriters, brokers and attend industry events
- Support reviewing contracts, answering internal questions, project insurance pricing and NATCAT modeling facilitation, asset tracking, budgeting, PowerBI data entry and analysis, etc.
- Loss Control and Claims: support with claims management and attend loss control meetings or site visits as required
- Enterprise Risk Management: support with reviewing global risk information, the internal risk register, and updating information on top risks
- Uphold all aspects of BluEarth's Health, Safety & Environmental policies, practices, and programs
- Uphold BluEarth's values and consistently enhance the image and reputation of the Company
Education
- Actively enrolled in a Business, Finance, Insurance and/or Risk Management program at an accredited post-secondary institution

- Exceptional attention to detail combined with keen analytical skills
- Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent tasks with varying deadlines
- Ability to take instructions and execute on tasks
- Demonstrate curiosity and confidence by asking thoughtful questions to deepen understanding and improve outcomes
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office product such as Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Capable of working collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve results

Job Requirements
- Ability to travel within Canada
- Ability to work outside regular working hours as required
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must commit to completing the Spencer Internship Grant final report and survey prior to end of internship
