Nippon Dynawave Packaging Company (NDP), is looking for an Environmental Lab Manager to lead our Pulp and Environmental Laboratory and support site-wide environmental compliance programs. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainability. You’ll supervise a team of lab technicians, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage programs that protect our environment and community.
What You’ll Do
Laboratory Management & Safety
- Supervise lab technicians and promote a strong safety culture while conducting risk assessments and ensure compliance with site safety policies.
- Oversee testing for NPDES compliance (TSS, BOD) and process/product quality, ensuring lab accreditation and integrity of regulatory data.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for environmental emergencies.
Environmental Compliance
- Maintain compliance with NPDES permits and related regulations while overseeing chemical approval processes, inventory management, and reporting.
- Manage solid waste programs, including contractor oversight and permit adherence.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies and internal teams.
- Prepare and maintain accurate environmental reports and engineering calculations.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead environmental initiatives and capital projects.
- Support new process testing and ensure accurate, defensible data collection.
What You Bring:
Required:
- BS in engineering, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of industrial lab testing and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in challenging environments.
- Physically able to perform inspections in remote or elevated areas.
Preferred:
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,070 - $120,159 with a midpoint of $100,114. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications; however, most employees are typically hired at or near the midpoint of the range.
