NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant for our Charlotte, NC office. The right candidate will have 10+ years of consulting experience on due diligence projects. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Duties:
- Senior Reviewer for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II Remediation Activities, and Brownfields
- Project Management, report writing, business development duties
- Indoor Air Quality Consulting activities (mold, asbestos, lead-based paint)
- Underground storage tank removals
- Mentor junior staff and review reports
Requirements:
- Degree: Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
- 8+ years’ experience with due diligence projects (Phase I, II)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) is required
- Experienced with Phase I and II ESAs, Soil/groundwater sampling, PFAs, Brownfield work, Soil vapor, Risk Hazard Assessment, Vapor Barrier design experience
- Good communications and reporting skills
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of regulatory requirement, North and South Carolina
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
