Job Description:
Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Manager, Environmental Projects in our Environmental Operations Group at the Material Recycling Facility operated by MES located in Derwood MD. This position will be responsible for providing technical and operation oversight for the Material Recycling Facility and related projects. This includes on-site management of staff, procurement, budget development and oversight, operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment, production management, heavy equipment, and safety and environmental compliance. This position will assist with communication between MES Headquarters staff in Millersville, Maryland and the site, and will interact with the safety staff, clients, contractors, and vendors.
Estimated Pay Range:
$88,991.37 - $122,363.14
Salary range reflects the mid-point of classification range. Compensation above the midpoint may be considered based on experience and qualifications, subject to approval. The existing midpoint for this classification is $122,363.14.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology, anthropology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus eight years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, five years of which must have included responsibility managing environmental projects and supervising environmental professional and technical staff, or responsibility planning, supervising, and conducting cultural resources evaluations, and managing and reviewing consultant work products to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

for up to two years of required experience.
Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
