At Secure Recycling, we’re not looking for a cheerleader, we’re looking for an Assistant Team Lead who leads from the floor by example.
Role Overview
This position reports directly to the Shred Plant Team Lead and is instrumental in:
- Maintaining continuous workflow in a fast-paced high-movement environment
- Supporting and directing team members during daily production
- Ensuring safety, sort accuracy, quality, and machine throughput meet or exceed standards
- Operating sit-down forklifts and other industrial machinery
- Communicating critical adjustments to the team and leadership
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to both execute and guide others, not from a desk, but shoulder-to-shoulder on the floor.
Day-to-Day Accountabilities
- Operate sit-down forklift in fast-paced environment
- Load/unload pallets product with accuracy
- Work with Team Lead to adjust production logic in real-time
- Monitor and reinforce team adherence to SOPs and company guidelines
- Support new team members and assist in onboarding
- Help to ensure no time, motion, or material is waste
- Maintain clear, clean, and safe work zones
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ operating sit-down forklifts in fast-paced production settings
- At least 1 year in a leadership role in operations, warehouse, or manufacturing
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable with assisting in real-time decisions when logic shifts under pressure
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., work on your feet, and stay engaged throughout the shift
- Must pass background check and drug screen
Compensation & Benefits
- $21.00–$24.00/hour, based on experience
- Flexible weekday schedule (no weekends, no mandatory overtime)
