Position Overview
The Sales Strategy Specialist will play a key role in strengthening the company’s market position within the Indian solar panel industry. This role involves analyzing market trends, generating strategic insights, preparing high-impact presentations, and supporting the sales leadership team with data-driven recommendations to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and refine sales strategies for solar panel products across key regions in India.
Identify new customer segments, distribution models, and growth opportunities.
Support annual and quarterly sales planning with accurate forecasts and analysis.
2. Market Intelligence
Conduct in-depth market research on the Indian solar industry—including demand trends, pricing, policy changes, competitor activities, and technological advancements.
Track government schemes, renewable energy targets, DISCOM updates, and tender announcements.
Compile competitive benchmarking reports and provide actionable insights to leadership.
3. Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze sales performance, channel efficiency, and customer buying patterns.
Prepare business dashboards and insight reports to support decision-making.
Evaluate ROI on sales initiatives and recommend improvements.
4. Presentation & Communication
Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations for leadership reviews, client pitches, and strategic discussions.
Communicate complex market and financial insights in a clear, structured, and visually engaging manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for presentations.
5. Sales Enablement
Support sales teams with tools, competitive intelligence, and product positioning frameworks.
Assist in crafting value propositions and sales scripts for B2B and institutional clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
3–7 years of experience in sales strategy, market research, or business analysis (experience in solar/renewable energy preferred).
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent presentation development and storytelling skills.
Ability to interpret market data and convert it into actionable strategies.
Knowledge of India’s solar market, MNRE policies, and industry pricing trends.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Attributes
Experience working with solar EPC, module manufacturers, or renewable energy consulting firms.
Familiarity with competitive landscape: Adani, Waaree, RenewSys, Tata Power Solar, Goldi etc.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
