Position Summary:
The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence by effectively supervising construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
Your Role:
- Safely and effectively operate heavy equipment, power, and hand tools.
- Safely and effectively operate CDL vehicles.
- Collaborate with the construction team to determine the specifications of the project.t
- Read, analyze, and maintain project plans.
- Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to detail
- Create and maintain a project schedule and budget
- Secure necessary building permits and delivery of materials/equipment
- Ensure proper safety guidelines are followed daily
- Facilitate safety training
- Takes a role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace
- Maintain all proper documentation and records
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Participate in all required Company meetings, including the weekly safety meeting.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of 10-25 full-time employees, including heavy operators.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities by the Company's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
Your Skills:
- Knowledge of heavy equipment
- Collaborative leader who is process and results-oriented.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of health. Safety and environmental regulations
- Demonstrated computer skills: PC Scale, Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written) skills.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences:
- High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in waste recycling oan r industrial or manufacturing environment
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
- Driver's license
