Assistant Chief Engineer – Electrical (Solar) is responsible for leading electrical
<\/div>
engineering activities, reviewing and approving engineering calculations and
<\/div>
technical documents, identifying technical gaps, and acting as the primary
<\/div>
interface with clients and EPC contractors. The role ensures overall technical
<\/div>
integrity, compliance with applicable standards, and risk mitigation across solar
<\/div>
and Renewable power projects.
<\/div>
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, in Renewable energy
<\/div>
(preferably Solar) and Power projects
<\/div>
Engineering Leadership & Review:
<\/div>
â Lead preparation of electrical design packages for renewable and power
<\/div>
projects including, Solar, Wind and BESS along with Power evacuation
<\/div>
systems and substation interface.
<\/div>
â Review and approve electrical system calculations, engineering notes,
<\/div>
and technical philosophies prepared by the engineering team.
<\/div>
â Validate system sizing, equipment selection, and electrical
<\/div>
configurations for technical adequacy and optimization.
<\/div>
â Engineering electrical systems for MV/HV systems (11kV - 400kV)
<\/div>
including, Inverter, transformer, switchgear.Technical Compliance:
<\/div>
â Identify design gaps, risks, and constructability issues and propose
<\/div>
mitigation measures.
<\/div>
â Review project requirements, specifications, and design concepts to
<\/div>
ensure compliance.
<\/div>
â Ensure compliance with IEC / IS / IEEE standards, CEA regulations, grid
<\/div>
codes, and client specifications.
<\/div>
â Prepare and review of Electrical technical specifications, BOQs and
<\/div>
support technical bid evaluations.
<\/div>
Collaboration and Support:
<\/div>
â Act as lead electrical technical interface with clients, lenders, EPC
<\/div>
contractors, utilities, and OEMs.
<\/div>
â Respond to client queries, technical clarifications, and deviations.
<\/div>
â Work as Lead engineer, project manager, and guide other team
<\/div>
members to resolve design issues and implement solutions.
<\/div>
â Provide technical information and ideas to support the engineering
<\/div>
team
<\/div>
Documentation and Record Keeping:
<\/div>
â Maintain quality and completeness of electrical design submissions.
<\/div>
â Timely closure of design review comments.
<\/div>
â Effective mentoring of Discipline engineers.
<\/div>
Quality Assurance:
<\/div>
â Check technical drafts for accuracy in calculations, measurements, and
<\/div>
units.
<\/div>
â Perform quality checks on drawings for function, fit, and submission.

Requirements<\/h3>
Strong expertise in solar PV electrical systems, HT/LT systems, and grid
<\/div>
interconnection.
<\/div>
â In -depth knowledge of short circuit, load flow, protection coordination,

and earthing studies.
<\/div>
â Good understanding of substations, power evacuation, and utility
<\/div>
interfaces.
<\/div>
â Strong decision -making and problem -solving capability.
<\/div>
â Excellent communication skills for client interaction and technical
<\/div>
negotiations.
<\/div>
â Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
<\/div>
â Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and
<\/div>
stakeholders.
