Energy Solutions is currently seeking a Solar Programs Associate to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DERS) team. As a member of the DERs team, you will assist distributed generation and/or community solar companies interested in participating in the Illinois Shines Program, an incentive program that encourages state-wide adoption of solar energy. Solar energy is critical in driving our nation’s progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality. The person filling this role will be required to work in a hybrid work environment in our Chicago, IL office and expected to be in the office a minimum of once a week.
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain current knowledge of program guidelines and procedures.
- Respond to program inquiries via telephone and email in a timely, professional, helpful, and courteous manner.
- Work with distributed generation and/or community solar companies (both over the phone and via email) on their program registrations and annual renewal applications.
- Document, review, follow up on an approved registrations and renewal applications received.
- Use general knowledge, program guidebook, data stored in knowledge-base, and other sources of information to answer registrant questions and/or resolve issues.
- Forward inquiries to appropriate parties when not able to resolve and maintain ownership by tracking and following up to ensure resolution.
- Participate in video conference calls, including presenting to the client.
- Manage or contribute to ad hoc projects.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Competency with technical topics.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM preferred.
- Ability to function as a team player and multi-task between various projects to help meet and exceed program goals.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
The salary range for this role is $60,000–$70,000/annually with a target compensation of $66,500/annually based on experience and qualifications
