This key leadership role will report to the Chief Operating Offier and will lead and drive the companyâs health and safety initiative and will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/span>Strategy Development:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Formulate and execute health and safety strategies that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Leadership:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Provide visionary leadership in health and safety practices, setting the strategic direction for the organizationâs safety culture.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Policy Oversight:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and programs that align with legal requirements and industry best practices.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Support and Advice:<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Provide Health, Safety, Environment and Quality advice to management and staff responsible for HSEQ across all Electric Skyline offices\/sites nationwide.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Risk Management:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Identify potential workplace hazards through audits and assessments; develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Training and Development:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Oversee the development and delivery of health and safety training programs to ensure all employees understand their roles in maintaining a safe work environment.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Incident Management:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Investigate accidents and near\-misses, analyse root causes, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Compliance Assurance:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Quality Management System:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Management and control of Quality Management system as per ISO9001, Environmental Management System as per ISO14001 and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System as per ISO15001 accreditations.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Reporting and Analysis:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Prepare and present detailed reports on health and safety performance to senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Performance Metrics:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for health and safety; prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Emergency Preparedness:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinating drills and training to ensure readiness.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Collaboration:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to foster a culture of safety and health.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Third Party Suppliers:<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>Maintain and assess sub\-contractor insurances, safety statements and method statements.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
People Management:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead and develop the HSEQ team and drive performance excellence across the business.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li>
Stakeholder Engagement:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> Collaborate with senior management, regulatory agencies, and employees to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Wellbeing:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span>Develop and maintain the company wellbeing strategy.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/ul>Qualification, Skills and Experience required<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

Bachelorâs degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>
Minimum of 10 yearsâ experience in a similar position. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
People Management Experience with the ability to guide a mentor a team.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
