Road & Rail Services
Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager
We're seeking a Highly motivated, Experienced, and Detail oriented individual to join our team here at Road & Rail.
- This position will be based out of our Mulberry office with up to 50% travel required
The Role
At Road & Rail Services, safety isn't just a compliance box we check-it is the absolute backbone of our operation. Since 1987, we have been a leader in rail-related services across North America, maintaining assets for some of the biggest names in the industry.
We are looking for a veteran EHS Manager to join our Mulberry, FL team. This is not a "hide in the office" role. We need a hands-on leader who is ready to be the boots-on-the-ground expert, driving a safety-first culture where it matters most: in the field.
What You Will Do
As our EHS Manager, you will be the architect of our safety compliance and the guardian of our team's well-being. You will split your time between our Mulberry office and field operations (approx. 50% travel), ensuring that our safety manuals translate into real-world practice.
- Lead the Culture: You won't just track incidents; you will prevent them. You will conduct Root Cause Analysis, lead investigations, and turn data into actionable safety standards.
- Train the Team: You will oversee HSE training programs, ensuring every employee-from new hires to veterans-is equipped with the knowledge to work safely.
- Inspect & Audit: You will perform facility HSE inspections to ensure we are meeting federal, state, and local regulations.
- Bridge the Gap: You will be the primary communicator between management, field employees, and regulatory agencies.
Who You Are
You are a seasoned safety professional who thrives in an industrial environment. You aren't afraid of grease, noise, or heights, and you prefer the outdoors to a cubicle.
- Experienced: You have 10+ years of progressive HSE management experience.
- Educated: You hold a B.S. in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (or have equivalent experience).
- Certified: You are a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
- Field-Ready: You are physically capable of working in outdoor environments (hot/cold/dusty), climbing ladders in excess of 16 feet, and wearing full PPE.
- Flexible: You are willing to travel 50% of the time and can adapt your schedule (including weekends/holidays) when the mission requires it.
- Note: Railroad experience is a plus, but not required.
What We Offer You
We believe in taking care of the people who take care of our business. We are proud to be Veteran Friendly and maintain a "promote from within" mentality.
- Compensation: Competitive Salary + Annual Bonus Program.
- Tools for the Job: Company Truck provided + Annual Steel Toe Boot Allowance + All PPE provided.
- Retirement: 401(k) with company match.
- Health & Wellness: Full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision) and Short/Long Term Disability.
- Time Off: Paid Holidays and Vacation.
