Sustainability Intern – Social Media (part-time)
Temp 6: Starting Hourly Rate $18.68/hr
This is a temporary role with a firm end date no later than 10 months after the start date.
Nature of Work: Support implementation and development of sustainability programs within the Office of Sustainability and Innovations, under the supervision of the Sustainability Coordinator-Communication and/or the Sustainability Analyst.
Essential Duties include but not limited to:
- Fill out social media queue up to two weeks in advance for approval
- Create social media graphics that align within the rigid branding guidelines of the Office
- Adapt 15-20-minute-long episodes of Green Light into reels
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to develop a strategic storytelling initiative.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong interest in sustainability and sustainability education/outreach
- Experience in creating engaging designs within given branding guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application suite, including intermediate with PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into easily accessible formats.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with social media management software such as Meta Business Suite
- Experience in strategic communication campaign creation and ideation
- Experience working on urban sustainability-related issues.
- Strong analytical skills.
