| Job Purpose |
|
Implement strategies, policies, procedures, and programs for Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) with strong focus on Safety. Manage all related activities to maintain highly efficient EHSS, fire prevention and Emergency Responses at each ERD site.
|
| Key Accountabilities |
- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to prevent accidents, incidents, and injuries within Exploration & Resource Development (ERD)
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend control measures
- Conduct safety training for employees and contractors, including safety orientation, safety procedures, and emergency response plans
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine the root cause and recommend corrective actions to prevent similar incidents from occurring
- Provide safety advice and guidance to management and employees, including identifying safety hazards and recommending solutions
- Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, identify trends, and develop action plans to improve safety performance
- Review and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements
- Conduct safety meetings and communicate safety performance and initiatives to employees and management

- >3 years of experience in the health & safety domain, preferably in the Mining industry

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies |

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, safety-related degree and / or similar |
|
Minimum Experience:
- Familiarity with KSA mining, minerals, and exploration sector
Familiarity of best practices in Environment, Health, Safety and Security with strong emphasis on international and domestic (KSA) mining sector |

Skills:
- Broad expertise in safety procedures (e.g., risk assessments, root cause analysis, deviation analysis, etc.) with focus on mining field facilities both internationally and in KSA
- Excellent understanding of risk management, including risk identification, analysis, mitigation, and monitoring
- Possess high level written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare and review written reports, memos, presentations, and other communications in a clear and logical manner
- Proficiency in IT operating systems and databases
- Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail, good time management skills
