ABOUT ROLE:
The Senior Manager, Procurement - Sustainability & Innovation will be responsible for the coordination and execution of Global Procurement sustainability and supplier innovation initiatives, with a focus on analysis, reporting, evolving regulations, supplier engagement, and stakeholder support initiatives that align with Avery Dennison’s enterprise sustainability goals and overall Plan to Win. This role requires a blend of subject matter expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to drive change in a global organization.
Our global Materials Group comprises Label and Packaging Materials, Graphics Solutions, Reflective Solutions, and Performance Tapes businesses and this role will seamlessly support the collaborative efforts across those respective businesses. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Programs and Operational Excellence, this role will enable execution of the functional strategies developed by the Global Materials Procurement Leadership Team (GMPLT)
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as procurement’s central point of contact for sustainability and supplier-driven innovation.
Monitor evolving global regulatory frameworks and proactively translate these to functional requirements.
Maintain the Sustainability Playbook for Procurement and provide training to the procurement team.
Partner with the Enterprise Sustainability Centers of Excellence (COEs) to execute against company goals and report performance.
Design and execute a structured program for supplier-driven innovation, encouraging strategic suppliers to propose and co-develop innovative solutions that deliver both business value and sustainability impact.
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability, monitor supplier carbon emissions data, and contribute to external disclosures and sustainability reports.
Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop corrective action plans for underperforming vendors.
Coordinate cross-functional supply chain due diligence activities and reporting.
Track supplier engagement activities and report on program progress.
Help suppliers build their capacity to provide credible and consistent emissions disclosures.
Integrate emissions reduction targets into vendor performance frameworks and sourcing strategies.
Partner with category managers to to identify high-impact categories and regions for focused sustainability interventions while embedding KPIs into sourcing decisions and supplier selection criteria.
Lead and participate in sustainability related projects: managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Environmental Science
