We are currently seeking a Sustainability Intern who will report to the RTW Sustainable Development Manager at our Materials Innovation Lab (MIL) in Milan, Italy.
Job Description
Your opportunity
You will be an integral part of the Materials Innovation Lab (MIL). MIL is a shared service center for Kering’s Houses. As part of our team, you will provide knowledge and technical support on sustainable materials (textiles, trims, non-woven) to the Brands. The scope of work includes maintaining up to date MIL collection of innovative and sustainable materials (the “library” and the “database”) and leveraging your business and economics background to contribute to pilot mechanisms that translate sustainability goals into actionable processes across the textile supply chain
How you will contribute
- Support the team in identifying sustainable materials, including sources of sustainable raw materials, as appropriate to brand
- Provide business-oriented insights and technical support to help brands adopt sustainable materials
- Assist in monitoring projects that operationalize sustainability across Brands development and production
- Assist the manager in organizing projects developments, including the ongoing monitoring and those under evaluation
- Maintain and organize MIL Show Room library and database of materials on a regular basis, ensuring is continuously up to date
Who you are
- A fresh graduate in Business, Engineering, Material Science or related field.
- Specialization in Supply Chain or experience in business transformation and change management is a plus
- Motivated to help define sourcing and purchasing mechanisms that turn sustainability strategies into real business practices
- You are a proactive team player who is adaptable to a multicultural context
- You are a well-organized and very precise person with a strong attention to detail.
- You are a cooperative and flexible individual who can communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Expert in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken, French is plus
- If you belong to legally protected categories (L. 68/99) your application is more than welcomed
