Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. (Triton) is growing, and we are hiring to support that growth! We’re looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Environmental Professionals to join our established safety‑conscious and people‑first teams in British Columbia and Alberta. Successful candidates can be in any of our offices – Vancouver, Terrace, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Prince George, Kamloops, Vernon, Edmonton and Calgary.
Your Impact
You will be responsible for leading field programs and providing technical support to Project Managers. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Provide technical leadership to design, plan, and lead various field programs.
- Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work and deliver high quality reports or other deliverables on time and on budget.
- Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and regulators.
- Act as the Professional of Record on client deliverables.
- Provide senior review of project deliverables.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of environmental Best Practices and advise clients and Project Managers accordingly
- Work collaboratively as part of the Triton team.

Your Skills and Experience
- Sc. or M.Sc. in biology or related field;
- A professional designation (i.e., R.P.Bio., P. Biol, P. Ag.) and be a member in good standing of the professional body;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Technical knowledge in aquatics and fisheries biology, including fish sampling and stream assessment experience;
- Experience with environmental monitoring/inspection;
- Familiarity with sediment and erosion control measures, and water quality and sampling techniques, is an asset;
- Ability and willingness to work in a variety of field settings that can range from active construction sites to remote wilderness;
- Demonstrated experience with technical writing, reporting, and communication;
- Multi-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, permits, and legislation;
- Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box to find pragmatic solutions;
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style;
- Able to provide mentorship and training for our environmental professional team; and
- Valid driver's licence from a Canadian province or territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting.

Your Compensation
The compensation range is between $36 and $60 per hour, commensurate with experience. The final salary awarded for this role may vary within the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and seniority of role.
