Energy Consultant
Ecotech Solar is looking for a highly motivated, people-focused, professional to join our Sales Team. In this role you will conduct on-site and remote PV site evaluations, design system options to suite desired parameters, and educate homeowners on how solar PV works, equipment options, incentives. Ability to lift 30+ lbs, manage ladders, and comfortability getting on roofs in all weather to conduct shading analysis and collect measurements is required. The position is based out of our Bellingham, WA office with frequent travel throughout Whatcom and Skagit counties in company provided vehicle. This position requires a unique combination of technical skill, superior listening ability, communication acumen, and competitiveness in order to guide prospective clients through the system design and contracting process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct site evaluations for prospective clients (including getting on the roof to take physical measurements)
- Educate prospective clients on solar basics and applicable incentives
- Analyze customers' current and projected electrical usage
- Design solar electric systems and calculate expected electrical production
- Price solar electric systems and create proposals
- Explain the designs, incentives, financial benefit, and loan options to prospective clients
- Close agreements and set up contracts
- Create detailed project notes for hand-off to Project Team
- Represent Ecotech via networking in the community, tradeshows, public education opportunities and other events

*Prior experience in renewables or the building trades is desired, but not required
