Role Overview:
The Grid Connection Project Management Intern will support Tilt Renewables’ Grid Connection team in delivering multiple renewable energy projects across wind, solar and battery storage. The role focuses on project management and scheduling, ensuring key milestones and dependencies are tracked and communicated effectively. You will work closely with project managers and engineers to maintain Gantt charts, RAID logs and stage-gate artefacts, improving visibility and coordination across all projects. No power-system simulation is required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain Smartsheet Gantt schedules for grid connection workstreams (R0/R1/R2), including dependencies and critical path.
- Prepare and update RAID logs, stage-gate packs and weekly status dashboards.
- Support multi-project delivery by coordinating timelines for GPS submissions, hold-point testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist with meeting notes, action tracking and stakeholder follow-ups with AEMO, TNSPs, OEMs and internal teams.
- Maintain document control and versioning for compliance and governance.
- Ensure alignment with Tilt’s health, safety and quality standards and Monash placement requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently studying an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar).
- Strong interest in project management and scheduling tools (Gantt charts, Smartsheet, Excel).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication for technical and stakeholder contexts.
- Ability to manage tasks across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Exposure to project management fundamentals through coursework or practical experience.
- Familiarity with renewable energy projects or grid connection processes (high-level understanding only).
- Experience preparing RAID logs, dashboards or similar project artefacts.
This is a paid internship for 3 days of work per week for a period of 3 months.
