Overview
We are seeking experienced Offshore Renewable Electrical Technicians to join our team. This role involves a variety of maintenance and inspection tasks on the Transition Pieces (TP) of offshore wind turbines. The scope involves working a 2 week on, two weeks off rotation at East Anglia 3 offshore wind farm, therefore candidates must be based locally within daily commuting distance to Lowestoft. The start date requirement would be the 6th January 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Cable Tray Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain cable trays to ensure safety and reliability of electrical systems.
- Navigation Light Maintenance: Perform routine checks and repairs on navigation lights to ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations.
- TP Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of transition pieces, documenting findings and recommending necessary actions.
- General Support: Provide auxiliary support to other team members and departments as required to maintain operational efficiency.
- TP Snagging: Identify and rectify any outstanding issues or defects during inspections to maintain the integrity of the wind turbines.
- Weather Day Onshore Support: Provide assistance and support during weather days onshore as needed, maintaining communication with offshore teams.
- Cross-Group Assistance: Be available to assist with work across the Stowen Group as necessary, contributing to teamwork and operational needs.
Working Conditions
- Role requires offshore work in potentially challenging weather conditions.
- Will involve physical activities, including working at heights.
- Flexibility in working hours and shifts will be required.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience as an Electrical Technician within the Renewable Wind Industry.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and best practices in offshore environments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Full GWO BST Training.
- OGUK & Chester step Medicals.
- NVQ / C&G Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) is essential.
