Solar PV is increasingly being integrated directly into building materials such as facades and roofing. Our client—an international industrial technology company—is exploring opportunities to co-develop Solar PV-integrated roofing products with leading solution providers.
In this project, you will:

Scout and evaluate global technology partners capable of co-developing integrated PV roofing systems

Perform assessments of technology readiness, manufacturing capabilities, IP portfolios, and market positioning

Analyze feasibility and technology compatibility to support potential joint development programs
-
Create a structured partner landscape and provide recommendations for strategic collaboration

Conduct a global scan of companies working in Solar PV, BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics), and PV-enabled construction materials

Requirements

Must be a PhD student, doctoral researcher, or recent PhD graduate specializing in Solar Photovoltaics, BIPV, Materials Science for PV, or similar domain

Strong understanding of:

PV cell & module technologies

BIPV integration challenges
-
PV material science, coating technologies, or thin-film systems

Excellent analytical and research skills
-
Experience with technology scouting, TRL assessment, or literature mapping is an advantage

Strong communication skills in English

Able to work independently, structure insights, and present conclusions clearly
