Job Description and Duties
Acts as Division’s Human Resource liaison. Provides guidance and directions to managers responsible for Accounting recruitment and hiring activities. Duties include creating, managing and reporting of personnel liaison activities and partnering with Accounting managers and the Division of Human Resources (DHR) to ensure positions are filled and program is not exceeding their hiring authority. Coordinate all aspects of the hiring process for the DofA. Review duty statements, Department of Human Resources (CalHR) classification specifications, and various other personnel related documents to provide recommendations to the hiring managers. Review job advertisements for accuracy and complete and process all necessary paperwork for hiring, upgrading, and changing time base of Accounting staff.

Working Conditions
Position located at 1820 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, Sacramento County. It's near Highway 50 and provides quick access to Interstate 5 and Highway 99. It's one block from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the Sacramento Co-op and restaurants.
This position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order N-22-25 and at the sole discretion of the Department of Transportation under California Government Code Section 14200. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be re-evaluated at any time. The incumbent will be expected to report for in office work and attend work related in-person events as deemed operationally necessary. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with Caltrans policies. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
