Our opportunity
As Sustainability Analyst, you will Support the delivery of Mirvac’s This Changes Everything sustainability strategy and Fund ESG strategies across the Asset Management division through the timely and accurate provision of resource and building data. Promote a high performing and service orientated workplace culture, that aligns with Mirvac’s values. Maintain a strong focus on people, sustainability, risk minimisation and the optimisation of operational and financial performance.
The role will ideally be based in Sydney, but alternative locations in Australia will be considered for the right candidate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the delivery of Mirvac’s This Changes Everything strategy and Asset Management ESG targets. Project and advocate Mirvac’s sustainability strategy
- Collect, enter, analyse and maintain sustainability data from internal and external sources, including utility bills, utility meters, and third-party platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting systems
- Maintain documentation and records to support internal data management processes, audits and certifications
- Support the ESG Data & Reporting Manager, Sustainability Engineers and Resource Recovery Manager in preparing sustainability reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation (e.g., NABERS, Green Star, ASRS, NGERS and GRESB)
- Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to data collection processes, focusing on automation and verification
- Assist in tracking progress against sustainability targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with project teams, facilities managers, and external stakeholders to gather relevant ESG performance data
- Maintain a focus on excellent customer service, collaboration, knowledge sharing, innovation and create effective working relationships
- Stay informed on relevant sustainability standards, frameworks, and reporting requirements e.g. Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards
- Resolution of utility invoice queries across the portfolio
Your point of difference
You are comfortable working with data and numbers, possibly have a financial background with an interest in sustainability, or prior experience in the property or sustainability sectors.
You will also have:
- Experience with utility data, sustainability data platforms and business intelligence tools. E.g. iSystain, PowerBI (highly regarded)
- Experience with ESG reporting preferred but not critical
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to timelines
- Tertiary qualified in data analytics or relevant practical experience
- Ability to critically think, to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency
- Demonstrate an understanding of good sustainability practices
- Proficient with SQL and or Python for data extraction and transformation desirable, but not essential
- Curious, proactive, positive, can-do approach
- Strong communication skills
