Job Title: Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator
Reports to: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Position Status: Full Time; Non-Exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports the Safety Department by performing a variety of administrative, compliance, and floor-support duties. This role provides direct support to the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager through recordkeeping, file maintenance, safety program coordination, and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepares new-hire paperwork and assists with safety orientation and onboarding for new and returning employees.
· Assists with implementation and communication of new EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
· Maintains and updates all safety training records, including ensuring the training matrix remains accurate and current.
· Assists with incident investigations, including supporting injured employees, completing documentation, and gathering witness statements.
· Responsible for data entry, management, filing, and auditing sensitive information related to employees and company compliance.
· Handles EHS-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate EHS contact.
· Tracks progress of EHS goals and provides reminders and administrative support to ensure timely completion of required documents.
· Assists with conducting safety audits, inspections, and walk-throughs on the production floor to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
· Supports environmental compliance activities such as waste labeling, recycling programs, spill prevention procedures, and tracking of hazardous materials (if applicable).
· Helps coordinate and participate in emergency response drills, fire extinguisher checks, eyewash/shower inspections, and other required safety checks.
· Assists with maintaining SDS (Safety Data Sheet) systems and ensuring easy access for employees.
· Helps monitor PPE inventory and coordinate with purchasing to ensure availability of required PPE.
· Supports the administration of safety committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting minutes.
· Assists with maintaining OSHA logs, workers’ compensation reporting, and other regulatory documentation under the direction of the EHS Manager.
· Supports training sessions by preparing sign-in sheets, materials, and ensuring documentation is properly captured.
· Helps maintain facility safety postings, bulletin boards, and communication materials.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Entry-Level Positions: Associate’s degree in business, safety or a related field in manufacturing, and industrial relations.

- Not Required but essential
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
