As a PCF/LCA Expert in Arxada’s Corporate Sustainability team, you will lead
the development and execution of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Life
Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies across the company’s chemical portfolio. You
will support the company’s decarbonization and circularity goals by generating
high-quality data, ensuring compliance with ISO and industry standards, and
integrating sustainability metrics into product development and supply chain
decisions. You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to integrate
environmental impact data into strategic decision-making and customer
communications
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct TfS and ISO-compliant PCF and LCA studies for products in
Arxada’s portfolio
Collect and validate primary and secondary data from internal teams,
suppliers and third-party databases
Analyze and interpret results to identify carbon hotspots and
recommend reduction strategies across the value chain
Prepare and present technical reports and dashboards to internal
stakeholders and external partners.
Support sustainability reporting and customer requests for
environmental data, including PCFs/LCAs/EPDs and Scope 3
Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to integrate
LCA insights into eco-design and innovation projects
Train and advise internal teams on LCA principles, tools, and best
practices to build organizational capability
Lead the design and implementation of an automated PCF/LCA
solution, including defining requirements and selecting tools
Monitor and apply emerging standards, methodologies, and regulatory
requirements related to PCF and LCA
Skills:
Strong expertise in LCA and PCF methodologies (ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067)
Strong Chemical or Chemical Engineering background
Strong understanding of Scope 1–3 emissions accounting and chemical industry sustainability standards (e.g., TfS PCF Guideline).
Proficiency with LCA software tools (e.g., GaBi, SimaPro, OpenLCA) and databasemanagement.
Strong knowledge of digitalization and system integration for sustainability data (ERP, CSRS, PLM, etc.).
Advanced data analytics and automation skills, including experience with scripting (Python, R) or workflow tools.
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to translate technical results into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and emerging standards for environmental reporting.
