Within its Maritime & Offshore practice, Alantra operates across major shipping hubs, including Greece, Northern Europe, and Asia. The team advises on M&A, debt financings, equity placements, and debt restructurings for shipping companies, investors, and financial institutions. Since 2016, Alantra’s Maritime & Offshore team has completed transactions with an aggregate deal value above USD 1.7 billion.

Role Overview
Alantra is seeking to recruit talented professionals at Analyst level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. The successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions across debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, working closely with senior bankers and gaining exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the execution of capital raising and advisory mandates in the maritime and offshore industries.
- Assist with and maintain financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.
- Support the preparation of pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction materials.
- Conduct industry, company, and transaction research in shipping, oil & gas, transportation, and related sectors.
- Support due diligence processes, liaising with internal and external advisors.
- Assist with client meetings, investor presentations, and internal reporting.
- Support day-to-day deal execution workstreams.
- Execute sections of due diligence and coordinate with legal, technical, and commercial advisors.
Requirements:
Candidate Requirements
Analyst (1–3 years’ experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Prior experience in investment banking, merchant banking, or investment management, ideally with exposure to shipping, oil & gas, or transportation.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native).
- Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
