Job Description
A Solution Technical Electrical Engineer at Schneider Electric is responsible for leading the technical aspects of projects, ensuring solutions align with customer needs and technical requirements, and managing the technical team throughout the project lifecycle. They are the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams, driving technical decisions, and ensuring the quality and reliability of solutions.
What will you do?
Technical Expertise:
- Help assess project requirements and determine the best technical solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with client needs and company capabilities.
Risk Management:
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensuring the quality and reliability of solutions through testing and validation.
Team Consulting:
- Consulting with the technical team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Documentation:
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
Solution Development:
- Driving the development of technical solutions, including design choices, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
Collaboration:
- Working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Up to 50% Travel

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000.00 - $144,000.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong technical background in relevant in electrical engineer or engineer disciplines (e.g., mechanical, automation).
- PLC programming experience
- Relay programming experience
- (IE61850) programming experience
- Experience with SCADA applications and network communications
Project Management:
- Experience in consulting complex technical projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Leadership Skills:
- Ability to lead and motivate a technical team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Problem‑Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Electrical distribution equipment trouble shooting skills.
Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices.
Customer Focus:
- Understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into technical solutions.
