About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Google Data Centers (GDC) operates one of the computing infrastructures. To remain at the forefront of technical innovation, Google continuously refines, upgrades, and modernizes its existing data centers, leveraging its Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program.
In this role, you'll be crucial in supporting the EHS construction program and team. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional GDC teams and contractors to protect Google’s interests.
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying EHS programs and initiatives across a defined area. This means direct engagement with GDC partners, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades, key integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve project EHS programs and performance. Your tasks will include pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors, updating project manuals, and communicating EHS expectations. You'll establish and track performance metrics, develop and implement best practices, including lessons learned, and regularly report to stakeholders to help the organization scale efficiently.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
