About the Opportunity
Job Summary
This postdoctoral position offers an opportunity to conduct leading-edge research in implementation of nature-based solutions for flood-risk reduction. This research helps overcome common implementation barriers to nature-based solutions projects by identifying economic, environmental, and community assets using multiple data sources and spatial tools.
The role emphasizes project leadership, transdisciplinary research across environmental, social, and political sciences, and interaction with state and federal agencies.
The appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research design, data analysis, paper writing, and professional development; provide apprenticeship-style training in sustainability science.
Support project management by tracking milestones and deadlines, preparing project updates, meeting quarterly with sponsors, and coordinating with the PI on active research activities.
Secondary Responsibilities
This position is 100% externally funded and will be reappointed on an annual basis based on performance.

Expected Hiring Range:
$59,425.00 - $83,935.00
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
