What You’ll Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in complex site investigation/remediation projects, with a focus on project/program controls management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large, long-term remediation programs.
- Advanced knowledge of California regulatory frameworks (CERCLA, RWQCB, DTSC, CUPAs) and strong negotiation skills with regulators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling tools.
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and client relationship skills.
- Demonstrated success in business development for large programs/contracts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including senior management, clients, and regulators.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, construction management, or related discipline.
- Professional Certification in California (or ability to obtain within one year).
- PMP or PgMP certification.
- Prior environmental consulting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide technical expertise on remediation projects with complex technical and regulatory challenges.
- Prepare critical project documentation, including feasibility studies, remedial action plans, design documents, and progress reports.
- Drive project execution using best practices in scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Oversee large-scale remediation programs with significant stakeholder engagement.
- Coach and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Deliver exceptional client service and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Prepare technical proposals and actively participate in business development initiatives.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients and ERM colleagues.
For the Managing Consultant, Environmental Remediation position, the anticipated annual base pay is $80,800 – $106,972 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
