R. City is hiring a
Warehouse Worker.
Job Type: Part Time / Full Time, 20 + Hours per week
Pay: $20/hr+
Job Summary: Applicant will help dump 64-gallon roll carts and barrels of food waste, pick out the trash and then spray, wash and sanitize the bins. Ideal candidate should be physically fit (personal trainer, fitness instructor, landscaper, etc) and should also be able to lift 50+ pounds.
Requirements:
- Drug Free
- Clean Driving Record
- Must consent to a background check
- Able to clearly collaborate and communicate with team members and Management
- Attention to detail
- A passion for the mission of Recycled City is a plus!
- Availability: 5am to 12pm, Monday thru Saturday
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to connect residents and businesses to local farming, closing the gap in our society between our food and where it comes from, and reducing food waste from entering our landfills.
The inspiration for starting R.City sprouted from the idea of creating a full-circle service by sending food waste to the same farmer that provides your produce. Our service began in 2013, here in the Phoenix Valley – where we have continued to pursue this mission over the past 8 years.
All of the food waste we collect goes directly to our farm where we compost it ourselves. We use the finished compost on our farm to grow produce (without the use of chemicals or pesticides). Our produce is then available for purchase – completing the full-circle of our service.
We look forward to continuing our journey to reduce food waste and connecting our community to local farmers.
