Job Purpose:The Shift Engineer - Cluster - Frontend overlooks Stringer/lay-up/laser/pre-EL to ensure the smooth operation and validation of processes during assigned shifts to uphold production efficiency and quality standards in solar panel manufacturing.
ResponsibilitiesProcess Oversight:
- Trouble shooting and Recipe optimization for stringer autobussing, layup , Pre EL and cell cutting unit.
Stringer Thermal Profiling as per MQP (Manufacturing Quality Plan):
- Perform thermal profiling activities on stringers and laminators according to established MQP guidelines. Verification of all shift testing activities as per the MQP for frontend(Stringer, Autobussing, Layup and EL)
Process Control:
- Implement and oversee process checks to ensure solar panels meet standards and customer requirements as per the MQP. Monitoring and maintaining machine process parameters(Stringer, Autobussing, Layup and EL)
Responsible for SPC and Process Capability Analysis:
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process parameters and ensure consistency of Soldering peel test, temperature profile of soldering station, cell cutting verification and Interconnect ribbon peel test.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations for a safe work environment.
Team Supervision and Training:
- Supervise technicians, provide training, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process optimizations and efficiency improvements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain Process records, report metrics, and document incidents for analysis and improvement andmaintaining stringer records and logs.

QualificationsEducational Qualification:
- Degree in engineering or related field.
Work Experience (Range of years):
- Min 2-5 Years of experience in supervising and managing Front end(Stringer, Autobussing, Layup and EL) processes in a solar manufacturing environment.
