About this Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Coordinator to lead and support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory reporting across our operations. This role is critical to ensuring our organization meets local, federal, and industry-specific environmental standards while fostering a culture of environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, local agencies, ISO 14001, etc.)
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Maintain and update environmental documentation, permits, and reports
• Coordinate waste management, recycling, and pollution prevention programs.
• Support emergency response planning and hazardous materials handling
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
• Develop and deliver environmental training for staff
• Track and report environmental metrics (e.g., emissions, water usage, waste)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance or sustainability
• Knowledge of applicable environmental laws and standards
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and training abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental management systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for roles in Puerto Rico. Candidates must be residing in Puerto Rico at moment of application.
