Position Announcement: Lecturer in Conservation Biology and Introduction to Environmental Analysis
Pomona College is seeking a lecturer in Conservation Biology with interdisciplinary expertise for the Spring 2026 term. Applicants should have an MA, ABD with years of teaching of experience, or a doctorate in biology, ecology, environmental science, or a closely related field completed by December 2025. Previous teaching experience is expected, as is a strong interest in working with a diverse undergraduate student population.
The lecturer will be appointed to the Environmental Analysis Program and will teach and build on an existing course:
- EA010 Introduction to Environmental Analysis
- Biology 104 Conservation Biology
- Biology 104L Conservation Biology Lab
Previous syllabi will be provided for the visitor to use or adapt and made available upon request.
