About the Role
The Battery Technician is responsible for maintaining, testing, and improving the performance of EV battery systems to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency across Electrum’s operations. This role involves hands-on diagnostics, preventive maintenance, repair, and quality control of battery modules and packs — as well as collaboration with engineers to enhance performance standards and lifecycle management.
You will be a key contributor in ensuring the consistent health and readiness of the battery fleet that powers Indonesia’s growing EV mobility network.
What You Will Do
Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of EV battery systems to meet performance and safety standards.
Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on battery packs, modules, and related electrical components.
Assemble, disassemble, and reconfigure battery systems for testing, evaluation, or R&D purposes.
Work closely with engineers to analyze battery data and identify performance optimization opportunities.
Execute quality control inspections and ensure all batteries meet operational and safety benchmarks before deployment.
Document all testing, maintenance, and repair activities accurately for compliance and traceability.
Maintain and manage battery inventory, including charge status, lifecycle tracking, and identification of defective or damaged units.
Support the development and continuous improvement of maintenance and safety procedures to increase reliability and efficiency.
Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
What You Bring
Vocational or bachelor’s background in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with tools and equipment used in battery testing, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related software is highly desirable.
Organized and methodical, with clear documentation habits.
Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English proficiency is required (technical documentation in English).
Nice to Have
Prior experience in EV battery assembly, repair, or testing environment.
Familiarity with high-voltage safety standards and PPE procedures.
Experience with data logging, monitoring systems, or lab testing setups.
Exposure to lithium-ion battery chemistry and degradation analysis.
