Our client is seeking an Outage E,C & I Area Coordinator for a shutdown for a nuclear plant. Previous nuclear experience is non-negotiable.
The Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Area Coordinator will oversee the Supervisors, provide leadership, technical expertise, and supervision for electrical maintenance activities.
The role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and close-out of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection activities while ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, regulatory, and operational standards. The Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Area Coordinator will guide technical teams in performing complex electrical work, ensure adherence to quality and safety procedures, and support continuous improvement to enhance reliability, performance, and efficiency of plant systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance and inspection activities in compliance with plant and regulatory standards.
- Lead troubleshooting and equipment evaluations to ensure safe, reliable plant operations.
- Plan, organize, and execute maintenance scopes to achieve safety, quality, and performance targets.
- Optimize manpower, resources, and scheduling of maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Ensure quality and safety standards through proper procedure implementation.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and ensure permit-to-work compliance.
- Manage first-line performance, disciplinary, and grievance issues within the team.
- Oversee contractor maintenance to ensure adherence to procedures and safety protocols.
- Provide technical input for procedure updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver accurate progress updates and support outage and emergency response activities.
- Support staff training, UAE National development, and team competency improvement.
- Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies.
- Promote teamwork, innovation, and alignment with the organization’s quality management and Nawah Fundamentals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Nuclear Power Plant outage environment.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in electrical maintenance.
- Experience with SAP or Primavera for maintenance planning.
- Certified in confined space, radiation safety, and qualified as a permit holder.
