What will you be doing?
- Serve as a regional resource for issue resolution over the phone with qualified personnel when on site.
- Train, assist, and support system troubleshooting with SolarEdge products in the field, and resolve field problems.
- Propose alternative system designs internally to achieve better functionality – applying best practices and efficient design methods.
- Travel to installers or end-user customers to provide service or emergency repair (fix, replace, install inverters and optimizers, communication equipment, and SE accessories such as CCG, sensors, meters, etc.).
- Assist and approve commissioning of residential or commercial solar systems and provide a final commissioning report.
- Ensure all qualifications remain up to date, including CPR, First Aid, LVR, driver’s license, car certificates, and certificates for tools and PPE.
- Collaborate with operations to validate authorization for releasing parts needed to solve customer and contractor issues.
- Manage the configuration database of customer installations/sites for performance reporting, replacements, or troubleshooting purposes.
- Advise customers on equipment operation, maintenance, or programming.
- Liaise with customers and EPCs to collect all necessary documentation and equipment requirements before arrival on site.
- Write reports for every site visit and lodge them in the CRM. Resolve cases lodged by customers in CRM.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role, including at least 1 year in a customer-facing position.
- Electrical contractor’s license & CEC accreditation.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel to sites, predominantly intra-state, but also nationally.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build rapport and maintain strong working relationships with customers, peers, and managers.
- Familiarity with service tools – Apollo, ATE, Server Admin.
- Self-contained and self-organized working style.
- Working at heights license.
