Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as an Environmental Engineer. This position is preferred to work out of Brewer Science Taiwan in Taipei, Taiwan. Candidates with the ability to work from Brewer offices in Shanghai, Seongnam, or Tokyo will be considered as well.
Summary:
This environmental engineer will work alongside our US team to ensure compliance with environmental requirements primarily in Taiwan, but will also support all of Brewer Science’s operations and customers in Asia, including China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore. In line with Brewer Science’s sustainability focus, this person will also support the development and implementation of environmental objectives and targets.
Responsibilities:
- Determining, completing, and maintaining new and existing chemical inventory registrations
- Integrating and maintaining substance information in internal systems
- Understanding and implementing industry regulations and standards related to chemical manufacturing, logistics, labeling, and import/export processes
- Certifying and maintaining compliance with customer environmental specifications
- Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and permit applications
- Collaborating with internal and external regulatory affairs and compliance teams to adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Participating in industry environmental associates and working groups
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or other related field or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating proficiency in Asia chemical environmental regulations, compliance, and permits
- Fluency in Traditional and Simplified Chinese is required
- The ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive information is required.
