Summary:
The Safety, Health, Environmental & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator ensures a safe work environment for employees by implementing safety and health policies and ensuring that all building and manufacturing equipment is maintained in safe operating conditions.
Safety/Health/Environmental:
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of our employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required
- Maintains OSHA logs and submits timely
- Responds to alarm calls as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Facility & Machine Maintenance:
- Attends to general maintenance requests for plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, janitorial, etc.
- Ensures that all production equipment is serviced as needed or required
- Ensures that repairs to critical production equipment are handled in a timely manner
- Works with vendors to obtain quotes when maintenance or repair work cannot be performed in-house
- Responds to emergency maintenance calls both during and outside of business hours
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to read and interpret safety data sheets
- Acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Resides in close proximity to Headquarters to enable a quick response time for emergency calls
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Safety Management related degree preferred
- EHS related certification a plus
- Valid State Issued Driver’s License
Physical Demands:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
Education & Experience:
The core hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
