Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site-level programs that ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, training, and compliance initiatives to protect employees, equipment, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement annual Health & Safety action plans tailored to the site’s needs.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures through audits and performance indicators.
- Design and oversee training programs and awareness initiatives to promote a safety-first culture.
- Advise and support departments on risk prevention, workplace safety, and equipment compliance.
- Lead site safety committees, management safety visits, and cross-audits.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage emergency preparedness plans, simulations, and response activities.
- Maintain effective relationships with local authorities and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee chemical risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in health and safety practices.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Strong technical knowledge (chemistry, physiology, biology, etc.) and ability to communicate with operations teams.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.) and standards such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.
- Skilled in risk analysis, emergency response, fire prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify hazards, reduce risk, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in an EHS role.
- HSE certifications (OSHA General Certificate or equivalent) preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing regulatory compliance and safety initiatives in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform safety inspections and training.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
