Position Summary
The Roofing & Solar Appointment Setter is responsible for reaching out to prospective homeowners who have previously expressed interest in roofing or solar energy solutions. This role focuses on making outbound calls, qualifying leads, educating them on the benefits of solar panels or new roofing, and scheduling appointments for field sales representatives. The goal is to identify qualified prospects, build initial interest, and set up successful consultations that drive customer adoption of tangible home improvement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to leads generated from marketing campaigns, referrals, or canvassing efforts.
- Handle inbound inquiries from prospects interested in roofing or solar solutions.
- Ask qualifying questions to confirm homeowner status, energy expenses, and property eligibility.
- Educate prospects on the financial and practical benefits of solar energy and roofing upgrades (e.g., lower utility bills, increased home value, durability, return on investment).
- Address basic questions and handle initial objections with professionalism and confidence.
- Set appointments for field sales representatives or technical inspectors.
- Document all interactions, lead qualifications, and appointment details accurately in the CRM system.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics related to call volume, appointment conversion, and lead quality.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, company policies, and customer data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years of experience in telemarketing, outbound sales, appointment setting, or call center operations (experience in home improvement or renewable energy is a plus).
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to engage homeowners in persuasive yet professional conversations.
- Familiarity with sales techniques such as consultative questioning and objection handling.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, dialer systems, and call center technology.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
