Role Description
As a Hardware Engineer specializing in Power Management and Battery Systems, you’ll develop the energy backbone of Rivet’s devices. You will design DC-DC converters, integrate battery management systems, and optimize power delivery to meet demanding safety and certification requirements. Your work ensures that Rivet platforms achieve the reliability, efficiency, and endurance needed for mission-critical use.
Role Objectives
The objective of this role is to design safe, efficient, and scalable power systems that enable Rivet devices to operate in rugged and resource-constrained environments. You will deliver hardware solutions that meet strict performance and certification requirements while supporting product integration and manufacturability.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Strong EE fundamentals with expertise in power management, DC-DC design, low-noise EMI DC-DC design, battery systems, or battery management (safety, certification, etc.).
- 0–3 years of experience in hardware design, bring-up, validation, and debugging using EE test equipment.
- 1–3 years of preferred experience designing hardware for mass-produced products with form factor and integration constraints.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout using Cadence or equivalent tools.
- Ability to lead power hardware designs in a technical capacity.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage projects independently.
- Eagerness to take on new challenges and continuously develop new skills.
- Must be a US Person (citizen or permanent resident).
